I had a chance to visit some pretty tasty and awesome bars in Savannah and I’m so excited to share my favorites with you! Now, there are hundreds of bars in this cute Southern City so I can’t say I’ve tried them all, but out of the many we tried out, these were my favorites. Whether you’re looking for an old fashioned, an aperol spritz or a menu with 300 martinis, Savannah has so many great bars and drinks to choose from. Here are my five favorites listed below in alphabetical order.
Alley Cat Lounge
We went to the Alley Cat Lounge our first night in Savannah and absolutely loved it! It’s tucked away in an alley (obviously) and it definitely gives off speakeasy vibes.
I really loved the newspaper style menus here.
This place gets pretty packed so keep this in mind if you’re coming with a larger group. Their menu is huge and I feel like they had every drink you’ve ever heard of! I had their sazerac and it was awesome and we all really loved our drinks.
Artillery Bar
I was walking back to our rental and accidentally took the wrong turn and came across this awesome bar, Artillery Bar. It’s located just a few streets from the Historic District and has some of the coolest architecture.
“Artillery is located where the Georgia Hussars’ armory once housed the cavalry’s artillery. The concept for the interior respects the late 19th century eclecticism and romanticism seen in the building’s original architecture and iconic façade while introducing the modern design elements our group is known for.” They did an awesome job bringing this building back to life!
I was rushing to meet back up with the girls but asked these women that were also in Savannah for a girl’s trip for a photo of their drinks! They all said they were delicious.
Myrtle and Rose Rooftop Bar
If you’re looking for some Rooftop Bars in Savannah, we absolutely loved Myrtle and Rose Rooftop Garden located at the top of the JW Marriott. The ambiance couldn’t have been better, we had awesome service, and great drinks. It was really hard to leave this place!
I heard they do a Jazz Brunch on the weekends and I would absolutely love to go someday. I had their Myrtle Spritz and loved it!
Savoy Society
Savoy Society is another great choice when looking for awesome bars in Savannah. I absolutely loved it in here, it was so eclectic!
We came here on a Thursday night and had an appetizer and we loved their charcuterie board .
St. Neo’s Brasserie
If you’re looking for some modern and fun bars in Savannah St. Neo’s Brasserie is the perfect place.
I loved the decor in this bar with the bold colors and live plants!
I had my first Vesper Martini here and I absolutely loved it! A Vesper Martini consists of gin, vodka, and lillet (French aromatized aperitif wine) and holy shit it was yum AND strong!
Overall, the bar scene in Savannah is awesome! Some other bars that we heard were amazing but didn’t get to go were Congress Street Up (authentic prohibition style cocktails) and Jen’s and Friends (Home to over 300 martinis! We didn’t go here because they weren’t serving inside at the time so make sure to call ahead and see if they are now!) Thanks so much for reading along! Have you been to Savannah?
