Packing for longer than a week can be stressful at times-What do I bring!? How much of each thing do I need!? What if I forget this!?
It gets easier the more trips I go on, but I definitely felt stressed the first few times I packed for my longer trips. I have learned from my mistakes (throwing random things in a backpack the night before my flight) so now I always do a “trial pack”. I pack what I think I will need and write everything down that I have in my bag, I weigh it and then walk through what I will be doing on my trip and vision myself wearing each thing, then I’ll keep what I really need and do a final pack.
Sounds crazy, but it helps you see what you need or not and makes it less stressful, so you don’t have to think am I forgetting something!? Keep in mind this is for a backpacker so if you have a roller suitcase and won’t have to carry your own luggage everywhere mine as well pack enough outfits for 3 weeks!
